December 2009

Ho! Ho! Ho! & Season's Greetings Bella/o Trekkers,

I hope this email finds you healthy, happy, and feeling holiday cheer.

Bella Treks is thrilled to wrap up another year of Worldly Excursions to BeFelicia Ennis, Aysen Glacier Trail, Chileautiful Places. While we could not escape the impact of world economics we forge on because we believe in our destinations, in our local contacts, in our expert guides, and in the value of Wordly Excursions to Beautiful Places.

It's the heartbeat.  I have come to appreciate heartbeats.  It’s the beat from the wandering albatross soaring at sea, from the rainbow trout slipping from wet hands, from the Argentinean chef preparing Llama, and from you that make leaving the comforts of home rewarding, meaningful, challenging, and memorable.

And the beat goes on!

In 2009 Bella/o Trekkers traveled to Salta, Argentina where cultures meetSouth Georgia Island, King penguins, Sir Ernest Shackleton . We floated in  excitement as we set hooks in rainbow trout, brown trout and cutthroat, on Montana's blue ribbon rivers. We conquered mountain peaks and walked through fields of wildflowers in grizzly bear country. We sailed in the Scotia sea and took shelter in South Georgia Island’s deep bays. We followed in Sir Ernest Shackleton's footsteps, and sat in silence on Prion Island.  Lastly, we tested our endurance on the exclusive 8-day Aysen Glacier Trail in northern Patagonia, Chile.
