Greetings Travelers,
BELLA TREKS INVITES YOU TO VISIT OUR NEW WEBSITE! Bella Treks is still beaming from a fantastic season guiding and facilitating trips and expeditions from the heart of Antarctica to the heights of the Peruvian Andes. My home state of Montana and the desert of Utah have also been playing grounds for Bella “Trek-ees” this year. Personally, when I look back on the last twelve months I am amazed. I set foot on 3 continents, drank wine in 6 countries, visited Machu Picchu (one of the world's 7 wonders), summitted Tocllaraju, a 19, 785 foot peak in Peru, explored the Camua fjords of Chile during an 8-day sea kayaking trip, and recently skied from the peaks and into valleys of the Selkirk mountains in Canada. So, a traveling we will go! In January I returned from weeks of work in Punta Arenas, Chile where I co-headed the logistics department of major expeditions to Antarctica. 2009 has found me home, planning and making travel arrangements from my home office. I just finished researching and planning a trip with friends and family to Salta, Argentina…a city surrounded by small villages, vineyards, and ancient ruins. I am excited to offer a whole new area of Argentina for Bella “Trek-ees” to explore. Our contacts continue to grow and our relationships all over South America deepen along with those in Peru , Ecuador and Chile. I am especially excited to add the South Pole to the list! Just getting there is part of the adventure. The beauty is off the charts; this rarely visited frozen world is guaranteed to spin memories and create a photo album of a lifetime. If you are looking for something close to home, fish with me on blue ribbon waters in Montana or ride horses in Yellowstone National Park. We can go birding and identify flowers, visit ghost towns and soak in hot springs…activities “in the neighborhood.” Also, we have a group headed to Utah in May for its canyons and the warm desert. Along with adding new destinations, we created a new website. Now I have a better way to be in touch with you. We replaced snail mail and paper consuming newsletters with our e-newsletter. The internet offers ease in communication, and I invite you to share your feedback, trip ideas, and special requests. I am happy to answer any questions. Don’t hesitate to call me. Anytime. I hope the improved web site is an inspiring constellation of possibilities for you. Hasta la vista! Felicia Ennis ![]() The Ilyushin on it's way to Patriot Hills, Antarctica
