Greetings Travelers,
I hope this email finds you healthy, happy and feeling the itch to travel.
It has been a beautiful summer in Montana. We've had outstanding fishing on good waters, cooler temperatures and minimal wildfires. Wildflowers bloomed intensely all summer and the hiking trails were lined with colors and aromas!
As fall unveils its golden face Bella Treks begins to look toward adventures in the southern hemisphere where Spanish is the idioma, people are friendly, food is fresh, air is warm, and days are long.
In this newsletter Bella Treks is excited to share with you a NEW trip for the spring! Bella Treks has joined forces with Cloe Erickson. Cloe is an architect specializing in historic preservation and community development, speaks Arabic and is the developer of the Igherm Restoration and Library Project. Cloe will be our guide in Morocco, April 19-29, 2010.

Jonathan Leidich will be your guide. And currently he is a consultant to the Chilean Senate subcommittee of Ice Field Development with a plan to sustainably develop the Aysen region and the region of the ice fields. This plan is based on a single infrastructure push of high quality accesses into the region, designing and building of mountain huts around the ice field that can house tourists, scientists and students. Integral in the development is agricultural diversification of local farms in order to provide locally grown organic food for increased consumption brought on by the augment of visitors to the region. Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
If you like to hike and to be among big mountains, you will love hiking in Peru. All you need to carry is a light day pack and the mules carry the rest. Peru is a spectacularly interesting country. There is also Machu Picchu, the lesser explored Choquequirao ruins, floating islands in Lake Titicaca, the rain forest and well over 400 species of birds!
